Grandbaby #2

Wow.. its been awhile since i've posted. Not having a computer at home is the main reason but there has just been a lot going on.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas spending it with friends and family. Ours was so nice.  Of course we were anxiously awaiting grandbaby #2 so that made it even better.

Skyelar Rayne blessed us with her presence yesterday around 3:15.  Mom and baby are both doing great.  We were all so shocked when she came out with a head full of hair.  (Her mama, was bald until about age 2). We tease her about it all the time, so she loves that Skyelar has hair.

I dont even have pics of Mommy/daddy with her.  Maybe later.

Thanksgiving

Sure hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. I sure did.  Spent lots of time with this sweet little girl.

This was our group effort pillow case type dress.. we had a pattern but that didnt work so well, cause I cant follow a pattern., we just winged it.  She ended up only wearing it for a couple of hours.. and then decorated it herselft with some spitup..lol.  Glad we got a picture first.  Amb and Mel made the bow to match it.

Oh baby

Its amazing how such a tiny little baby can melt your heart and change your daily life.  First thing I want to do when I get up in the morning and get home in the afternoon is see this sweet little face.

Not sure why my picture keeps turning sideways.

Cant wait to meet our 2nd little granddaughter in about 11 weeks.

She's here

Yesterday was a very long day for all of us and I am worn out so I know the new mama is exhausted but
Emmerson Leigh Walsh is finally here.  Mama and baby are doing great.  Counting our blessings and Thanking God for this precious little one and her mama.  We love you Mel,, You did great and she is BEAUTIFUL!    ( Meme and Pappy cant wait to love her and spoil her rotten)

Amberly is in nursing school and was her own private little nurse.  She was able to
be in the delivery and see her 1st niece make her grand entrance.  To say she was
excited would be putting it very mild.  But it also made her a little nervous about
her own delivery in December.

Just a few minutes old and getting her footprints done.   I think she looks like Mel
when she was born, except Mel had more hair.

BEFORE : She was feeling good.  Inducing and contractions had
 not started at this point.

Justin, Melanie and Emmerson.  The absolute best experience ever is seeing
your "little one"  bring their own little one into the world.  Amazing!  She weighed
7 lbs 6 oz (congrats Uncle Dax on guessing the weight).

Watch out Emmie, your mama has been collecting bows and headbands
the whole 9 months.  This is just your first one to model.

Happy Birthday Melanie

We celebrated Melanie's birthday with a cookout and the family.  It was a really nice day.  I made her cake so that she would remember, years from now, that she was pregnant on her birthday.  I went the super quick and easy route this year.  I cut out the silhouette, attached it to the back of a piece of camo birthday paper and laminated it with contact paper and stuck it on the cake.  She's keeping it to put in her scrapbook.

also covered the cake board in contact covered camo paper

On Sunday we went to my mother n laws house to celebrate another birthday,, our nephew Davey.
He's turning 15 this week.  This cake was almost a flop,, the cake split in the middle and the skateboard dude had a
big indention down his chest,,, lol.. but they liked it anyway.

I goofed on the fingers/arm,, dont look at that part.. LOL

I found out this morning that I won a book giveaway over at Susie Harris blog. , (I love her blog) .   And in the spirit of
giving it forward as I have said before when  "I" win ,, one of "you"  will win too.  So check back next week for a giveaway.

It is REALLLLY hot in Missisippi today,, hope everyone is staying cool wherever you are.
