Its Soup weather

Im not a huge fan of cooking, most of the time its just what I do because we have to eat,, but I do love to cook homemade vegetable soup.  Most of the time I make it with frozen veggies for the most part and add fresh potatoes and onions with whatever kind of meat I want at the time.  But this is my SOUPER SIMPLE, ready in no time, perfect for a quick weeknight meal , veggie soup

I used 1 fat can of mixed veggies, 1 15 oz can of tomato sauce, 1 chicken breast cubed and cooked til white, 1/2 can of chicken broth and 1 can of beef broth.

Cut chicken into small pieces and cook with a dash or two of onion flakes (or diced onion)  in about a tablespoon of butter in skillet until white.

Add all other ingredients in your favorite boiler and bring to a boil, add chicken and onion mixture and reduce heat and let simmer for about 20 -25 minutes.  Serve with crackers, cornbread and or a crispy grilled cheese sandwich and voila supper is done.

And I just cant resist a pic of my little angel.

  1. What a sweet little angel. I love soup and we have it often in the winter. This sounds like a good recipe.

  2. That is the sweetest little baby. I wouldn't get anything done for just looking at her. I will use your soup recipe. I have beef thawing now to make some over the weekend. I never thought of adding chicken instead.

  3. i do mine with veg all, ham, and several cans of diced tomatoes, plus water.

  4. Soup sounds yummy and the baby is adorable!
P.S. I'm blogging about soup tonight, too!
