Tyler told me tonight that when he has kids he's gonna name them ,, you ready,,, Spider and Bat. Our last name is Mann.... ha ha ha ha .

Blast from the Past .. . .

When I was younger, (6th & 7th grade),,, we lived in Taylorsville, MS for about 2 years. One of my sisters best friends that she has kept in contact with over the years called her today and got me thinking about these pictures,,, (Teena and Teresa,,, HEY!!!! )... They are kinda funny,, I purposely left out the one of me in it,, You dont need to see that!!! And here it is,,,

This is how we do it,,

Tyler has been in his new school for about 3 or 4 months now and I ask him often if he is still liking it and all that. Let me just say that this is a country school !!! He got invited to go to one of his new buddies birthday parties after school,, there were several boys that were going home with the birthday boy. Said birthday boy is pure country from what í've heard,, shoots a bow, turkey and deer hunting, camouflage and all that stuff. When we went to get Tyler from the party later that night we went down several country roads and it was dark and I had no idea where I was. I'm glad Jeff was with me.. we got a text from him saying that if we came to a sign that said "Road Closed"we had gone too far. Sure enough we did,, the next text said "turn around you passed it".. We head back up the road and almost passed it again.. he flagged us down. When he got in the truck I was asking him about the party and what all they did. They played football, danced a little, ate a little, made prank calls, the regular party stuff,, but the main event, what he had the most fun doing.... running through the woods and playing in the gravel pit!
Who needs a space jump? This is how we do it .. in the country!

And here it is,, for what it is,, imperfections and all.. but the bride loved it and that's all that matters to me. Congratulations Chelsea and Ashtin and thanks for allowing me to do the cakes and be a part of your special day,, love ya'll lots!!!

Austin 3rd birthday

Its a cake day

Hello!!

Been busy working on cakes and stuff,, this is a cake I did for a co-workers 8yr old grandson,, he told her all he wanted for his birthday was a cake with a deer stand (looks more like a tree house), a squirrel, a deer, a raccoon, trees and a boy with his gun(yeah,, thats what that is peeking out from tree house,, i mean deer stand,, :-) . Anyway, it wasnt perfect but in an 8 year olds eyes his Granny came through for him. And that makes it worth it!!

Jeff Birthday

Happy Birthday Jeff,,, I love you!!

I cant believe I forgot to post Jeff's birthday,, and he turned the big 4-0 ... yep he's officially as old as I am. He's my main man and I hope he knows just how much I love him.. Happy Birthday! He does special little things like painting my toenails while we are in the truck in the parking lot of the Mexican place,, he's THAT sweet!

So I had to make him something sweet for his B'day.. 40 "Sucks" cupcakes

We celebrated my younger sister's birthday this weekend at my mama's... she collects decorative wall masks so i made her a mardi gras type mask on her birthday cake.. not the same thing I know,, but it was a mask and she liked it. Happy Birthday Steph... Love ya!

Blissdom"'09 is over,, did you go??

Blissdom '09 was this past weekend and sooo many bloggers headed out to Tennessee to enjoy some fun, meet/make new friends and learn some things too. Edie at Lifeingrace posted about her trip and as well as Rhoda over at Southernhospitality. And seeing as how I didn't get to go çause i really didn't know what those buttons on everybody's blog that said "I'm going Ya'll" was talking about until all the spaces were full I stripped wallpaper border from the backdoor foyer area and painted it a bright white. You might not can tell a lot in the pictures but it really does look 100% better. I'm looking for some new things to hang in that area and so the walls are still bare. I also made a heart L O V E banner out of newspaper. And for the life of me I can't remember whose blog I saw that on ( oh yeah now i know it was Mayamade and her newspaper bunting) ... she does banners with newspaper for many things and I know i've visited her blog many times,, but i cant find that post and go figure i can't find the picture of the one i made either.. But if it was you and you're reading this let me know so i can give credit where credit is due,,, and thanks for the idea.
