Just a little humor

I just had to share an email I got this morning from none other than my mother-in-law.. This may offend some of you so be warned little ears.. but in my family this just sends us into rip-roaring laughter.. Hope you enjoy too!


DO YOU FART IN BED? IF THIS STORY DOESN'T MAKE YOU CRY FROM LAUGHING SO HARD, LET ME KNOW AND I'LL PRAY FOR YOU. THIS IS A STORY ABOUT A COUPLE WHO HAD BEEN HAPPILY MARRIED FOR YEARS. THE ONLY FRICTION IN THEIR MARRIAGE WAS THE HUSBAND'S HABIT OF FARTING LOUDLY EVERY MORNING WHEN HE AWOKE.THE NOISE WOULD WAKE HIS WIFE AND THE SMELL WOULD MAKE HER EYES WATER AND MAKE HER GASP FOR AIR. EVERY MORNING SHE WOULD PLEAD WITH HIM TOSTOP RIPPING THEM OFF BECAUSE IT WAS MAKING HER SICK.HE TOLD HER HE COULDN'T.STOP IT ANDTHAT IT WAS PERFECTLY NATURAL.SHE TOLD HIM TO SEE A DOCTOR,SHE WAS CONCERNED THAT ONE DAYHE WOULD BLOW HIS GUTS OUT. THE YEARS WENT BY AND HE CONTINUED TO RIP THEM OUT.THEN ONE THANKSGIVING MORNING AS SHEWAS PR EPARING THE TURKEY FOR DINNERAND HE WAS UPSTAIRS SOUND ASLEEP,SHE LOOKED AT THE INNARDS AND NECK,GIZZARD, LIVER AND ALL THE SPARE PARTSAND A MALICIOUS THOUGHT CAME TO HER. SHE TOOK THE BOWL AND WENT UPSTAIRS WHEREHER HUSBAND WAS SOUND ASLEEP AND,GENTLY PULLING THE BED COVERS BACK,SHE PULLED BACK THE ELASTIC WAISTBAND OF HIS UNDERPANTS AND EMPTIED THE BOWLOF TURKEY GUTS INTO HIS SHORTS SOME TIME LATER SHE HEARD HER HUSBANDWAKEN WITH HIS USUAL TRUMPETING WHICH WASFOLLOWED BY A BLOOD CURDLING SCREAMAND THE SOUND OF FRANTIC FOOT STEPSAS HE RAN INTO THE BATH ROOM.THE WIFE COULD HARDLY CONTROL HERSELFAS SHE ROLLED ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING,TEARS IN HER EYES!AFTER YEARS OF TORTURE SHE RECKONEDSHE HAD GOT HIM BACK PRETTY GOOD.. ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES LATER,HER HUSBAND CAME DOWSTAIRS IN HISBLOODSTAINED UNDERPANTS WITH ALOOK OF HORROR ON HIS FACE.SHE BIT HER LIP AS SHE ASKEDHIM WHAT WAS THE MATTER. HE SAID, 'HONEY YOU WERE RIGHT.''ALL THESE YEARS YOU HAVE WARNEDME AND I DIDN'T LISTEN TO YOU'. 'WHAT DO YOU MEAN?'ASKED HIS WIFE. 'WELL, YOU ALWAYS TOLD ME THAT ONE DAYI WOULD END UP FARTING MY GUTS OUT,AND TODAY IT FINALLY HAPPENED.' BUT BY THE GRACE OF GOD, SOME VASELINE AND TWO FINGERS.I THINK I GOT MOST OF THEM BACK IN.'

Frames Frames Frames

These are a few frames that I've had for awhile now and just haven't decided what to do with them. I didn't pay anything for them and they seem to be good quality frames. I love the one with the oval ,, the frame is a whole piece of wood, its not put together at the corners like lots of frames are. The other one is really unique,, I haven't taken it apart because I didn't want to mess it up if it might be worth something, but if you can look closer the yellow mat around the inside of the frame is some sort of velvet or something like that. I tried to take a good picture of the front and back to give you a better idea of what it is. If anybody has any ideas for what to do with them I'd love to hear from you. Something from nothing

Here is a Thanksgiving plate ( I know a little late for that) that I made this year after seeing a video on decoupaging on youtube from expert village.com. All that was used was a glass plate ($1.50) a Thanksgiving napkin (pack of 12 $1.00) and a piece of yellow tissue paper (free from gift wrap stash) and some decoupage. I cut the design out of the napkin, centered(it really is centered, It's just wopsided in the pic) and decoupaged that on the back of the plate first and then the tissue paper on top of that. When it was dry I took a razor edge and went around the edge of the plate and cut the excess tissue paper off. Then I took it outside and lightly spray painted around the edges on the backside with a burnt orange/rusty/copper type color. I was really pleased with how it turned out. Think I might make a Christmas set for my mantel. Thanks for stopping by.

Okay, so this post is a little late. We've recently celebrated 3 birthdays in our family. Starting with my mom's (65th) in October, then my daughters(20th) and then mine (40th). We had a cake and dinner for my mom at my brothers house this year. For Amb's,,, (Oh my gosh I can't believe she is twenty) we celebrated with a "soup-er" dinner and birthday cake with the family at our house and for mine we all (or rather the ones that wasn't working or hunting) got together at mama's for dinner and cake. I made mama a "medicare" cake, for Amb's I just made cheese cake which is her favorite and a bundt cake for anybody that didn't like cheesecake. Mama ordered mine from somewhere and in the pic you can see that they almost forgot to put the "40" at the bottom. My kids decorated the truck and made a sign for my "lordy lordy 40 b'day"... they're so sweet. Amb's boyfriend built her a wooden chest ,, it is very nice and she was really surprised.

I signed up for the 30 Day contentment therapy sessions over on MaryEllens blog and although I've been feeling thankful and content I just couldn't put it into words until today. So here's my first Contentment post.

With the Holidays upon us and knowing that there are so many that don’t have family or simply can’t be with them all the time I’m feeling very content today in the fact that I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family that I see and talk to on a regular basis. A great husband that overlooks so many of my faults and doesn’t complain about the little things as much as I do. Two amazing daughters that have a such a inner strength about them as young women that it amazes me. My one and only son who I truly enjoy watching grow and mature in his own little ways. (He’ll always be my baby though.) A very loving mama and daddy who have always been there for us, two sisters and a brother (who I couldn't imagine not having to share things with) and my nieces and nephews who all call me AuntBB. I love them all. My hope for this season is that we can all remember the most important things aren't things at all.

I voted for the 1st time ever today !

For years, too many to mention right now, I've put off registering to vote. Well, I voted for the first time in my life today. And it felt great to do so. Not to mention that I went to vote with my oldest daughter who was voting for the first time also. Thanks to this kind blogger for the button.

Latest creation

And here it is October,, so it looks as if i'm posting maybe once a month. I've found lots of great tutorials for sewing and here is one that i actually finished. The first is a basic purse using a tutorial from creativelittledaisy at typepad. I haven't figured out how to add links ... another day another time.

And i'm back to work

Well,, about two months ago I decided to start my own blog after being imspired by so many other blogs that i've been reading. And then I got stuck,, didn't know what to do or how to do it.
And then about a month ago I fell and broke my ankle and have been off work since then. I finally made it by to work yesterday for a little while and today it looks like i might make it the whole day. I had dreamed of haviang time off to sit around the house and do crafts and maybe clean house and stuff,,, but it's no fun when you HAVE to be there and you CAN'T get up and get around and do for yourself. Even though it was nice and a blessing to spend so much time with my husband (although i'm sure i pushed him to his limits some days)... and I'm extremely grateful to him and my children for taking such good care of me ,,, so I made day two.. we'll see how tomorrow goes... Bye ya'll..
