Something from nothing

Here is a Thanksgiving plate ( I know a little late for that) that I made this year after seeing a video on decoupaging on youtube from expert All that was used was a glass plate ($1.50) a Thanksgiving napkin (pack of 12 $1.00) and a piece of yellow tissue paper (free from gift wrap stash) and some decoupage. I cut the design out of the napkin, centered(it really is centered, It's just wopsided in the pic) and decoupaged that on the back of the plate first and then the tissue paper on top of that. When it was dry I took a razor edge and went around the edge of the plate and cut the excess tissue paper off. Then I took it outside and lightly spray painted around the edges on the backside with a burnt orange/rusty/copper type color. I was really pleased with how it turned out. Think I might make a Christmas set for my mantel. Thanks for stopping by.
